You are aware that Minister Of Power Sri Piyush Goyal has introduced THE ELECTRICITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 in Loksabha on 19th December. Loksabha Speaker Mrs Sumitra Mahajan has referred the bill to standing committee. GOI intends to pass the bill in coming budget session of Parliament. Bill No 191 of 2014 – THE ELECTRICITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014 - A Bill further to amend Electricity Act’ 03 as introduced in Loksabha on 19 th Dec, 2014 is attached . Please go through it and submit your valued opinion to me so that detailed memorandum by AIPEF may be submitted to standing committee of Parliament.

After enactment of Electricity Act’ 03 this is the most crucial juncture before us as if The Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2014 is passed then it will be the beginning of end of power supply in public sector & many more power gates will open with mega scams. AIPEF has decided to fight it out alongwith power employees under the agies of NCCOEEE.

All are requested to publicise the issue and mobilise power engineers to show their unity and solidarity to save the power sector of India in larger interest of common peoples.
